PRIVATE TOUR (DAILY DEPARTURE)

DAY 1: HANOI – HOA BINH – MAI CHAU – POOM CONG (L/D)

We depart from your hotel at 8:30 A.M and head toward Hoa Binh city where we stop for refreshments and coffee. Leaving Hoa  Binh, we climb for about 90 minutes up to mountain valley of Mai Chau, stopping on the way to take in the spectacular vistas.  Following lunch in Mai Chau town, we strike out for the villages of the White Thai people.

After an afternoon exploring the villages, we will be hosted for the evening by the village people and will stay in one of their traditional stilt house. We will be toasted as honored guests and will be able to savor some of their homemade rice wine. In sampling the evening meal and generous hospitality, we will gain insights into the lives and culture of the people. The accommodation will probably be a little more rustic than your usual lodgings at home.

DAY 2: POM COONG VILLAGE – LAC VILLAGE – HANOI  (B/L)

Following breakfast we begin our 15km, half-day trek in this picturesque valley, ambling from one village to the next.

As we walk, we will encounter the local villagers going about their daily business tilling the fields, logging or herding the buffalo. We reach our destination at Khoe Village before driving back to Lac Village for lunch. After lunch we can stroll around the village hamlets before returning to Hanoi.

Tour ends around 5:30 P.M.
